Sponsorship 2020 – 2021

Thank you

The management and players of the football club would like to thank everyone for their continued support through a very challenging season due to Covid-19.

Unfortunately the village fete had to be cancelled in June and also many people and companies have also struggling financially due to the Pandemic, so any sponsorship or donations to the club is very welcome.

Thank you so much to Mick and Carole Bleach of Bleach of Lavant who have continued their sponsorship of the football club.

Also we receive a grant from the Football Foundation via a Club Preparation Fund available to help football clubs and organisations make their facilities a safer environment as a result of the Covid-19 Pandemic.

If you are interested in making a Donation or would like to consider Sponsoring a team, please contact David Kent on 01243 780178.

Your support would be most welcome and you would be contributing to helping a rural West Sussex village maintain its football team, which has been part of Lavant’s heritage since 1910.

Lavant FC score with new safer goalposts from the FOOTBALL FOUNDATION

Following a successful funding bid, the Football Foundation have awarded Lavant FC a grant towards half the cost to replace its football goalposts with new, safer ones.

They were awarded to grant after applying to the Football Foundation’s Goalpost Safety Scheme.  Since 1991 nine young footballers have tragically been killed in the UK by unsafe goals.  Many more have been seriously injured by posts and crossbars that fail to meet even basic safety standards.

Teaming up with The Football Association (FA), the Football Foundation has earmarked almost £4m to replace non-compliant and unsafe goals in England at thousands of schools, clubs and parks across the country.

Funded by the Premier League, The FA, Sport England and the Government, the Football Foundation is dedicated to revitalising the grass roots of the game, constructing modern football facilities, developing football as a force for social cohesion and as a vehicle for education in communities.

Lavant FC thanked the Football Foundation: “This funding towards new, safer goalposts is a fantastic boost.  Football is our national sport and it is great that the Football Foundation is investing in improving the grassroots of the game.”
