During Saturday’s game Tom Sheppard suffered a broken wrist after feeling the full force of Fishbourne stricker Hugh Howden fall on him.
Coach Mike Kent confidently diagnosed a simple sprained wrist and told him to get up and carry on. So after the game he just strapped up the wrist and proceeded to go out that evening and take part in the Lavant FC Annual Bowling event. After a terrible two rounds of ten-pin and subsequently finishing last in the event, Tom finally decided to go to the hospital, where it was in fact confirmed following an x-ray he had broken his wrist.
This injury is going to put Tom out of action for at least the next two month, which is bad news for Lavant.
We all send him our kind regards and wish him a speed recovery.
